instadownloader.bond ("we," "our," or "InstaDownloader") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and process your data when you visit our website. We are committed to GDPR (EU/UK/EEA) and CCPA/CPRA (California) privacy compliance.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We practice data minimization and do not store raw personal identification or user media files. We collect:

  • Instagram URLs: Paste actions are processed transiently to resolve media. They are cached in Redis for up to 60-90 minutes (via a hashed key) to optimize performance, but we never store user media permanently.
  • IP Addresses: Hashed rolling IP addresses are temporarily used for rate limiting (10 downloads/day) to prevent API abuse. We store a salted hash, not the raw IP.
  • Analytics & Cookies: With your consent, we load Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to track features used, speed metrics, and UI errors.
  • Advertising Identifiers: With your consent, we load Monetag scripts which utilize cookies and mobile/browser identifiers to serve advertisements.

3. COOKIES & CONSENT

We use a custom Cookie Preference Consent Banner (TCF-compliant) globally. Except for strictly necessary cookies (used for rate-limiting calculations), cookies for Analytics and Advertising are disabled by default until you click "Accept All" or configure preferences. You can update these settings at any time by clicking "Cookie Preferences" in the footer.

4. THIRD-PARTY PROCESSORS

We share necessary data with third parties to perform core services:

  • Apify: Extracts public Instagram content.
  • OpenRouter: Generates AI captions (transmits your prompt text only).
  • Render.com & Cloudflare Pages: Web hosting and server execution.
  • Monetag: Serves ads (subject to Advertising consent).

5. CCPA "DO NOT SELL OR SHARE" OPT-OUT

California residents have the right under the CCPA/CPRA to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of their personal information (which includes cookie-based ad identifiers). You can opt out instantly by clicking the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Info" link in our footer, which disables advertising cookies.

6. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on your location, you may have rights under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA, including the right to access, delete, or correct any data we hold about you, or object to processing. Since we do not associate downloads with named accounts or raw IPs, we cannot trace specific download requests back to individual users.
